you are right Bob, this is true but it's not as easy for us to do
we are lonly and suffer shame, we think that we are the ones to blame
we feel as if no one cares, no one sees us despite the tears
you say to us go get a friend and all this pain and crap will end
you make it sound like an easy thing, like bying a bell will make it ring
you missed the point our life within, the pains which formed and shaped this thing
the why in which our minds all think, the way we see our lives all stink
when we don't feel good at all within, about where we've been or what we've done
it's hard to think we deserve a friend, insted we see our lives should end
people in this age and time, no time to chat can't read our mind
they see us arrogant not shy but never stop to wonder why
if they could see the pain within and how we long to talk with them
how much we long for it to go, the cold exterrior which we show
insted we sit alone at home and sometimes share it on the phone or internet should someone care and say they know that they've been there
and for those moments we feel at ease, on common ground with our disease
but in the end they go away and we're left to face another day..... Kevin
