There are many other hotels in Boston and several in Copley Square (a Marriot and a Sheraton, I believe). Boston hotel rates are very high during the Fourth of July holiday. Only the Westin is offering the special rate. Many people may stay at hotels in the surrounding area and take the train or drive in. Hope that helps.
