Subject: Day Jesus died,3 days and three nights

Jesus was taken from the cross before 6pm and placed in the tomb before the Sabbath started at 6pm (sunset)

This is where most people get confused: Jesus is a Jew, The OT is to the Jews only: (even though Christians use the OT as reference)

At the time Jesus lived on earth, the clock had not been invented. Telling time was based on sunset not hour by hour.

So in Jewish time a day started at 6pm in the evening and ended 5:59 pm the next day( immediatly before sunset)

Jesus went to the cross after 6pm on Thurs. and died before 6pm on Fri. In Jewish time: any part of the day is counted as the entire day:

Thurs.sunset to prior to Friday sunset is one full day;

Fri.sunset to Sat. sunset is one full day:

After 6pm Sat.to sunset Sunday was counted as one full day>

Jesus rose on the third day.

(any part of a day was counted as the entire day , sunset to sunset.)not midnight to midnight or hour to hour as we count days and time.

Jesus kept all Jewish Holidays and traditions because he is Jewish.

The method of counting time that we use today is not correct but we use it anyway.
