Date Posted: 23:52:17 04/29/06 Sat I actually went to the W.E.B.&S. bible college, which is ran by Jimmy Swaggart Ministries, there in Baton Rouge & as a Pastor now myself, and who have met Bro. Swaggart (many times and know him personaly) the cross message is good but has its faults, thus.. It leaves the beliver or unbeliver to think that after Jesus died, that was it but as someone already said "we serve a risen Lord, and hes alive and well". We need to focus more on JESUS Christ (the christ there meaning the annointed one) Jesus is the true name and the only one "which men can be saved" Jesus is the name in which every enemy flees, thats the name in which we are healed, baptised~~~He said in the bible more than 900 times "I am with you" thus only a live risen Jesus can "be with us" not one still on the cross... now our very salvation hinges on the cross, glory to his name that he was the sacrifice but the HOPE and the JOY and the PROMISE we have as christians, is that HE IS RISEN glory to the lamb of God... HE IS RISEN-- we could teach the cross but as an ugly scene which it was, as he took all our sins, and it was nothing any of us would have wanted to be there for im sure, thats what the cross was not a gloryfied teaching point to print books on and to make money with Mr. Swaggart hear me well... My God is risen and is alive, yes he did die for my sins but risen and justified and freed me forever. It also seems that Donnie (his son) only puts down everyone else's ministry I have heard him call people out and call them liars and such, well maybe he needs to "nail his insecurities to the cross" he preaches about and focus more on that we are all going to the same heaven if we cant worship together here then honey we aint gonna make there in Heaven, where Jesus (our risen Lord is the light of the city) oh i can go on but excuse the long version but hope someone got some hope and to know the cross message is not all bad but theres MORE TO THE STORY ---HES ALIVE HES ALIVE [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
