There seems to be a lot of blaming the victim going on here on this chat space. Have any of you been in a situation where someone had power over you, and you were afraid that if you didn't do what they asked, they could hurt you? If not, then walk a mile in someone else's moccasins before you start throwing darts.

Why is it that when women come forward and say that the behavior of a powerful male has compromised their rights and human dignity, everyone jumps to blame the woman - she's a slut, she's been dumped, she's ugly, she's just trying to get attention. Blame flows with responsibility, which flows with power. Not powerlessness. And I'm sorry, but in this world a woman trying to support several children on a part-time job doesn't have a lot of power.
