I dated an NHL player. For about two years, actually. We met when he was in the IHL. We became friends, stayed friends when he went to the NHL. After being friends for about five years (we were young when we met)we decided we had stronger feelings for each other and started dating. We broke up about a year ago. We decided there were things we needed to do seperately. Well, things I wanted to do. But we're still great friends. I live here in Vegas. He splits his time between where he lives and where he plays. And I see him about three times during the season and every few weeks during the summer. Neither one of us has dated anyone seriously since we've broken up so we have no idea what the future is going to be like for the both of us. It's really hard dating an NHL player. It was great being able to do things for the community together, but it sucked not being able to spend as much time together as we had wanted. Maybe when I am better established in my career it'll be fine. It's really hard work. As long as you really love the person and are willing to work hard at a relationship, then, by all means, go for it, you know? But if you just want to do it because he's a hockey player, then, I wouldn't waste my time.

>to get to live hockey every day (through your hsuband)
>and have a financial means to get to do cool things
>like that for charity.
