I think that the foxhead will desroy and absorb the weave much like any other weave. For balefire to work, the weaves must be intact. If the medallion begins to absorb the weaves after "unbraiding" them, it's no longer balefire but only strands of saidin or saidar. It might give Mat fox-shaped frostbite after absorbing that much power, though.

Another very good question is, would the foxhead absorb the True Power weaves?
