Javier was named as first Miss ASEAN with runner-ups Imelda Fransisca from Indonesia and Panisa Chaikanarakkul (1R) from Thailand. The three winners will become ASEAN ambassadors to increase tourism and trade. Miss Philippines Jhezarie Javier (2L), Miss Indonesia Imelda Fransisca (R) and Miss Thailand Panisa Chaikanarakkul (L) listen question from the host Tantowi Yahya (2R) during first Miss ASEAN contest in Jakarta 19 March 2005. Javier was named as first Miss ASEAN with runner-ups Imelda Fransisca from Indonesia and Panisa Chaikanarakkul (1R) from Thailand.
