Morpheus gave a slow nod, and looked over at Aurora, "As you said, it is his choice, and he has made it," Morpheus said softly, and walked slowly, almost solemnly away for the moment. Then, with another quiet nod from Aurora, something seemed to ripple.
Out of the ripple came floating something a hue of bright red, it was perhaps the size of Myuler's fist, but yet, it floated through the air as though made of nothing. Turning, Myuler could see that it was a stone, or rather, a crystal.
A crystal that looked vaguely like a living heart. "Divinity," Morpheus explained softly, "requires an essence, and it can't just be granted by one deity."
Walking towards Myuler, Myuler found himself being gently laid back in the arms of hope and, surprisingly enough, in the arms of Aurora as well. "Most often, it takes the death of a divinity to make a new one... or the making of a new heart," Morpheus explained as he placed the crystal on Myuler's chest, even as Aurora placed her hand above the stone, and Hope did the same, just as Morpheus did.
For Myuler, there was a moment that was simultaneously intense, as though every nerve in his body was afire, and at the same time, peaceful in a way that he had never known, like being adrift on a lake, staring at the sky, only moreso.
The crystal sank, without so much as a wound or ripple, into Myuler's chest. New feeling, new magic infused Myuler, the thrill of creation, and a certain knowing feeling, as though everything was going on at once, but all in such a slow motion, that it seemed hardly to move at all.
All of this, came to rest in the back of Myuler's mind, even as the heart finally settled into his soul.
