Tyrsis had settled in a half crouch in front of Emillia, her wings soft garnet feathers. Her voice did not match her words when she spoke, however.

"Cyrus, guard Emillia. Don't leave her side." A general's order given to be obeyed, he'd probably heard the tone from his father more than once.

At least they would both be in the same place. Zenra was a harder story. Gold passed off spirit Emi as just another color and sound that flickered in her eyes. As far as Tyrsis knew, her queen had walked into a dangerous situation and her only true resource was a teenage boy. Not much to protect a queen and a princess with, but she had been in worse, in a different timeline.

Once Cyrus moved, her intent was to take place beside Zenra. When your queen was a warrior you never called her your majesty and told her to sit and watch. You just kept her alive as best you could. She had learned that from Damuthca. Maybe it was time to use it.
