It took half a moment to take his place by Emi, gold eyes watching both Kenji and the emperor. Neither one of them were people he was willing to trust at this point, and that placed him in an ugly position.

Oro took Emillia from her home without asking.

The emperor was the one that sent him.

All of these thoughts passed through Cyrus's mind in a blink as he finally drew the Fia'a'Vell'Turr, the bright blue weapon crackling with the strange energy the blade always seemed to put off.

Gold eyes turned, suddenly calm and calculating towards the emperor, then, with more emotion in them, to Emillia, "I'd say this emporer or whatever he is has been lying to us since the beginning," he said softly.
