Tyrsis landed in Escalvone, dust swirling about her feet from the force of her own wings as she touched down in the now secluded training grounds. Night time was often quiet in Escalvone, all but the sentries sleeping off long days of training and labor. Tonight was not an exception as she waved to the man who had watched her land. She did not recognize him, but he knew her and that was the more important part of this exchange.

In daylight this place would be too crowded to land, rings full of those in training and in challenge. Sparring was all too common in the proud city of Escalvone. Damuthca's city.

Turning away from her greeter, she began towards her own home, small and secluded but near enough the rings that she could keep watch over the progress of those who showed visions in her mind. Intensity had passed with the Bloodknight invasion, the Weave's staggering leaving all who could see somewhat blind to the future. Their were only those who felt more strongly of great futures, images of things likely to happen but not certain. They made her faster than others in Escalvone, only because she felt what they would do before it was done. A master in hand-to-hand combat could do much the same, she was no more perfect than she had been eleven years ago. Training had become a focus in her life here, picking up with an older gentleman whom she had regretted leaving at her banishment. He had seemed to understand then, but sometimes silence was the wiser answer. She had not known that, perhaps it was one of the ways that she had grown. Master Dashell seemed to think that she had.

Her house was empty, dark and silent as she entered and moved throughout it and finally to bed. Damuthca would be noted of her arrival when he checked the nightly reports. By then, she would be rested and ready to report on Hogoromo and Princess Emillia's progress. She had not seen Queen Zenra during her stay, but had come quietly and so that was to be expected. Social visits rarely brought her to her old friend's throne.

Tyrsis shivered as she removed her shirt, small bumps rising along her forearms before she could pull the silky nightgown over her head and climb into bed. It was cold for this time of year and she seemed to feel it more clearly than she had in her younger days. She seemed to feel a lot more now than she had then. It felt good to escape the numb.
