Cyrus sighed, "Why can't I just work up the nerve to talk to her without strangling myself," he said softly, standing and brushing himself off, suddenly aware that the other boys were laughing at him.

Cyrus was suddenly a blur of green, chrome, and blue, his blade flashing and turning to catch with the blunt side, dropping everyone who had laughed at him for this in their tracks.

"I suggest you remember that the next time you think I'm so funny," he said with a trace of annoyance as he sped off towards Myulers, zooming past Emi and Yomi with a burst of the speed that his father had beaten into him.

His lungs were burning from oxygen deprivation by the time he reached his seat in class, as it required a vaccuum technique for him to avoid friction burn, and he was still late.

How he got himself into these things, he would never know.
