A claw manifested itself it seemed infront of the flight path of Jonath. The outstretched limb swinging about in a curved arc that intercepted the attack and the entire body of the Bloodknight unless he changed course. Damuthca's bodyguards already breaking their previous combat to break into the sky, a quick volley of six breath weapons launching themselves in any other possible escape routes they could percieve around the attack of their fellow.

All of them contained no elemental source as the majority , but simple force, akin to a few cantrips that wizard cast, but more radical in strength.

Damuthca himself glanced downward to the incoming attack, though he could see little for the attacks of his seven bodyguards. Not in the least surprized by reinforcements, he sighed.

How many lives must be lost?

A subtle change over the battlefield slowly manifested, perhaps only Wyrd would notice, but the Weave itself left the area completely, severing its connection swiftly. The Dragonknights, especially felt the loss of their connection to their Goddess, though they retained their dragonic ablities, morale declined.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
He fell back, the blade of an sword cleaving just an inch above him that would have sliced him in twine even as he rolled backwards, his hands pushing off the ground to give him that added distance as he landed somewhat off balanced.
Kami only looked upwards, thankful that there was no follow up attack. He needed to think, he heard combat outside the temple, and he needed to help. His daughter was out there.
" I don't want to fight you. " He said gently, hoping for a peaceful resolution. Yet peace was a luxury always denied to him. Life could not be simple. There was always this drama, and that made him shake with rage that he could never escape his past.
Even if the past had died once.
Beautiful , perhaps even beyond his beloved Zenra, Yukina smiled darkly as she stalked slowly up to Kami. She wouldn't give Kami the pleasure of an explaination. She knew it would haunt him for all time if he would be forced to kill her, and without even knowing why.
Behide him was Kenji, still unconcious. Kami glanced back to ensure the boy's slumber. He had no idea what side he would take, but was pretty positive it would be Two versus one.
And after what that boy could do, he knew the outcome. He would die. Perhaps it would be better to kill the slumbering child now, but such a thought would never find a foothold in his mind. He knew why he was doing something so foolish. Trying to change his own damned past by saving him.
He felt, quite keenly, the removal of the Weave. Only a few things could even begin to do that, and all were colossal. His hand instantly shot to his sword, the blade escaping the sheath with a flash of light that seemed to caress the very blade as Kami covered the distance between the two.
His muscles stretching as each stepped thundered in his ears, he wasn't at all surprized when Yukina dropped her defense, inviting the killing blow. Blood splattered his face , the warmth almost biting into his flesh and soul as he quivered there.
A tear slid down his eye as he jerked the blade loose, letting Yukina fall where she may. Scarlet staining the sliver of steel as he glanced once again at Kenji. He went running, but not before his foot disappeared into the very ground, Kami's scream breaking the den of the battle briefly as Damuthca glanced toward the temple, and went even further into a battle frenzy.
At last his mouth opened, and pure destruction echoed out of his jaws as he shot it at the one that had thought no one noticed. But he could see those blessed by the Goddess now, fully into his dragon persona, and none were safe. Each stood out like great shining stars within the eternal night.
So it shot down toward the bloodknights, a barrage of death at the loss of his friend. The loss of morale quickly turned back as each dragon roared in turn at the surge their leader provided.
It was at that time, that Kenji woke up.
