"Do not presume to tell me how to handle my family," Johan said as his gaze fixed on Zephyr, "Lashana vanished... again. I am taking care of my daughter, and my son is with Emillia, and considering all that has happened, I do not wish to take him away from his friend so that I can try to explain where his mother is."

Johan's voice held more than a hint of irritation at the sheer nerve of this woman. She had absolutely no right to attack him in this way, especially where family matters were concerned. By many standards, he was a remarkable father.

"I often must leave for the next fight, that much is true. But I leave because it is evil when good men stand by and do nothing when there is hardship. I leave, not because I forget who I leave behind, but because often, I must fight for their sake," His voice was getting quieter, not a good sign, "I would suggest that you never make another judgement about me, ever again."

Johan promptly stood, and began to pace... were his daughter not needing a good meal, he would've left rather than deal with someone who thought she knew something.
