In reply to: Silverfox 's message, "Well" on 12/31/04 10:15:36pm Fri

"I wonder if perhaps the elf in question is the same one who offered to lead us to the elf I wished to question. It would explain why ~she~ didn't return even if it doesn't explain why the creature Wyrd didn't. Come on, you look like you could use some rest. There's a cottage not far from here that I used this previous night that you can use. No one will bother us there I think."

Even with all the humans about Dawnsfire still felt alone. With the sole exception of Silverfox her people were gone and she still didn't know what she was supposed to do. She still wanted to know why the elves had massacred her people. As she and Silverfox walked a white and black shape streaked towards them, a piercing cry drawing Dawnsfire's eyes upwards. Instinctively she held up her arm, bare though it was and felt the jarring impact as the falcon settled himself on her wrist. His talons closed tightly around her wrist before relaxing slightly and Dawnsfire brought her arm down so she could look at the bird in the eyes. It was her falcon, Whitestar, the one she'd sent off from the palace to keep him safe. A smile curled the young shaman's lips and she tranferred the bird to her shoulder. Again the bird's talons flexed and then relaxed, though several tiny dots of blood blossomed from where the bird's talons had pierced skin. It was nice to know that her feathered friend was okay and that he'd apparently trailed them from the castle. Absently Dawnsfire stroked the soft breastfeathers before pointing at the cottage.

"There. You can rest there Silverfox and I can wait for our benefactor to return. Though... I wonder how long Jarek plans to be gone."
