He blinked, surprized by the request. His dark eyes narrowing as tried to discern some sort of trick. However, as he continued to stare deep into the eyes of the soldier, he sensed no ploy, and only continued to walk, ignoring Hogoromo.

It was unimportant.

" Any that does not wish to follow Hogoromo, will always be welcomed within the hallowed halls of Escalvone. " was all he said, as he continued to leave, expecting the soldiers to follow.
