Ryiln stayed in the room for only a moment after Vell left before coming to a decision. Grabbing her cloak she left Myuler's and went hunting for the Healers of the city. There were only a handful left, all Forgotten, the rest, humans and elves had been expelled from the city. They all gathered in one of the Healer's homes, safe from the guards because they were Forgotten. When silence fell Ryiln stood, brown eyes regarding the seven other Healers and spoke.

"Our fellow healers were forced out of the city as well as helpless women, children, elderly and wounded. All of them were forced out because they were not Forgotten. I ask you, those of us that remain to refuse to Heal anyone that is not immediate family. Harsh yes, but what's been done is far worse. As all of you know I cannot Heal for awhile myself so this decision must be made among the rest of you. It violates our oaths that we swore when we became healers, to heal any in need of it, be they friend or foe but we need to make a statement to show we do not agree with the Queen's daughter's actions."

She sat back and listened to those gathered and smiled grimly at the decision they reached. A woman rose, pale blue eyes hard as she looked at Ryiln. Kisha spoke, voice bitter.

"We agree that we should not heal anyone until this foolishness has been abated. This mass expulsion has taken my beloved and my three children from me because they are elven and half elven. All we request is that YOU be the one to deliver this message to the Regent Emillia. You have an Archmage to get you out of the palace if things go badly....we do not. We won't run from this and they can't force us to use our gifts to Heal. We will talk with the herbalists and make sure they do not practice their craft either..... they lost friends and family too."

Kisha sat back down and Ryiln stood. Absently she flicked a few strands of her honeywheat hair back over her shoulder and regarded those gathered for a moment before speaking.

"I'll go now, the guards will let me in and I'll personally deliver this message. Peace guard all of you and good luck. There are going to be a lot of very unhappy people so be careful."

With that she turned and left, leaving the other Healers to their own devices and made her solitary way to the palace. She'd left a note on the bed for Vell to find in case there was trouble, he'd understand. Entering the palace was easy and she finally was allowed in to see Emillia. The girl looked positively frantic about something but Ryiln didn't care. Taking two steps forward she spoke, eyes void of emotion.

"We the Healers of this city have decided that no one will be Healed by our hands and gifts until such a time as you reverse your decree. You forced out innocent people, friends and family of many. You forced out those that are Forgotten halfbloods because they resemble their nonForgotten parentage. We cannot abide by this decree and henceforth we will not Heal anyone. Your guards and other fighters that repelled the human army will not thank you for this, wounded and in pain they will wish for Healing and they will be denied and they will blame you. The ranks of the Healers have been greatly decimated by your action, most of our Healers in this city were either human or elven. Of the Forgotten Healers only eight of us remain."

Ryiln stood, waiting for the proverbial shoe to drop and wondered if Emillia would order her executed, imprisoned or merely thrown out of the palace..... or the city.
