His eyes narrowed at the corpse of the falling drow. How dare he attack Emi! His own anger was quickly sheathed in the back of his mind, caged up like the swirling chaos that was the Black Wind. He looked toward Dawnsfire then, confused and a bit perturbed b y her stunning ability to discern. He did not like to be so easily read.

�You are very perceptive. I believe that is what has kept you alive and relatively successful until now.�

Blinking slowly he knelt at the corpse of the drow�examining the cadaver for any clues as to why he was here before he spoke again. Nothing out of the ordinary. Well, nothing except the powerful shift spell that had attracted his attention in the first place. What the hell was going on? Once again he turned his attention to Dawnsfire.

�You seek no reward you say? Ah but the strengthening bond between you and Zenra is no reward? Is that no what you sought as you pursued your duty? Perhaps you were selfless, I am not a mind reader�but nevertheless, you have gained a reward�perhaps one larger than you can imagine.�

Seraph smirked slightly and turned toward the window. Though even as he walked, he seemed to transform before their very eyes, his normal demeanor changing to that of a predator. His body seemed to exude a lethality about it�almost as if he didn�t belong here at all but rather stalking prey. His sense became razor sharp as the sense of hara-gei took over, gathering data about everything in his surroundings, the heart beats of all in the room, the smell of the air, feel of the wind�.a deepened sense of perception that bordered on paranormal.

He looked at Emi once more and nodded to Dawnsfire before once again leaping from the window to vanish in the darkness below. The Black Wind whispered�.things were different again�he needed information. With that he sought out Johan�he was sure the samurai would be able to give him some more information�.
