She was too far from them, the rain too thick, for her to have literally seen his face... and consequently for him to see hers either. He was...

...strong was an appropriate word.

"Wyrd?" The image faded, his face nothing but a memory in her mind now. "Wyrd is everything alright?"

She walked into the rain where she could make out the outline of the creature she had once known so well, and stopped as he came into focus through the falling water. At the sight of what had transpired, golden eyes widened.

"Goddess, Wyrd, what the hell did you do?" Her half-cloak came off in an instant to cover the bloody mess he had made. The rain would have hidden the sight and sounds from almost everyone around. She glanced back and saw Raaine in her stand. "Help me clean this up, quickly. Then all of us need to go visit the queen."
