In reply to: ... 's message, "random chaos" on 10/20/04 7:00:26pm Wed

A thin whistle peirced the air, whining through the skies over the heads of the watching Filaninon and into the standing army of humans that stood outside of the walls of Hogoromo. With a whining thud it landed directly between Tyrsis and the Whirlwind King. An arrow, tip angled near perfectly towards the sky, with only a slight tilt towards the forest to show its direction of descent. Blue beads hung around its shaft.

Thousands of whines streaked through the air, whistling their way towards heaven and then towards hell as all chaos erupted in the ranks of men. Training would prevent complete and utter abandonment of their structure, but an arrow barrage from forests they had assumed safe was something to be fearful of. Far too many arrows fell than would be capable of the tree-dwellers, but a human king would have no knowledge of that. The Filaninon were quiet, and their support given rarely. All tribes and nations knew they lay with the Forgotten.

A messenger to distract while the damned tree dwellers took them from behind. The Forgotten queen had guile equal to her foul tongue, it seemed.

Another rain of arrows tore through the air, launched upwards and over the treetops, blue beads lighting the sky like ripples of sunshine across blackened waters. The whine was horrific, sounding the prelude to their targets cries. The large body of men were damned to take the attack at full brunt, sheilds facing towards the castle walls and knocking down allies in their haste to turn against the tide of sharpened wood and steel. Another volley and the sky once more grew dark and pointed, screams as the center of the army was torn usunder.

Within the city those that had belonged for years took to the call of their kind and silently moved towards preappointed positions.
