There was yelling outside the gates, and yelling inside the gates, as well as yelling coming in through the entrance to the castle. There was the sound of running and the distinct 'thwack' of arrows missing targets, as well as screams when the arrow did not miss.
Then finally there was yells of that amassed human army taking charge, and charging into the gates of the city, clashing into knights, and starting a battle, as well as a detachment of the humans left taking to the trees, and start hacking trees, as almost everyone knew that the Filanon were tree people, and revenge was taken out on the trees.
"Damnit."
Zenra almost growled as she walked to the entrace of the castle and grabbed her sword, not even breaking stride.
"Bring the girl," was her last command before she went out, and into the chaos, and started to help defend her city, and her people. Wings flashed bladed, and an Icewind entered battle.
The steward looked at the girl then looked around before hoisting the girl into his arms and folded his wings over her, being sure to shield her from anything that may come flying for him. He wasn't so sure about his safety as he attempted to make his way out to where the human army leader had last been seen.
