Subject: He had a firm belief that she thought to much, he was always happy to see her name flash up on his caller ID. Currently, he was lounging back in a booth in a bar on the strip, listening to Wes talk about his Keisha dilemma. The dude just needed to get his priorities straight, that was all. Absently,he lit up a cigarette and nodded at something Wes said before he turned his eyes to the waitress he was blatantly eyeing him. She was cute enough but he had learned his lesson and he was completely devoted to his little Lilah. Briefly, his eyes flickered to his phone before he looked back to Wes. Her year was almost done but she started back the next day and he didn't want to call and wake her up if she was sleeping so he was choosing to refrain from dialing her number...

I remember when the days were long
And the nights when the living room was on the lawn
Constant quarreling, the childish fits
And our clothes in a pile on the ottoman

  • She glanced to the phone every once in a while, as if willing it to call, before she finally just broke down and reached for the receiver. As she dialed his number, she padded over to the stereo to slowly turn down the volume. Lips gently pursed, she tucked the phone between her ear and her shoulder as she waited patiently while it rung. So maybe she would sound a little pathetic, calling him all the time, but he loved her anyway - pathetic or not. She wasn't the least bit concerned about school in the morning - she had taken a nap that afternoon, so distracted by him or not, she would be up... (NT) -- Lilah, 23:07:50 01/11/05 Tue
