Subject: Why Is it so Hard to find a used dress for a 17yr old Pre Lim?

I am having a hard time finding a dress for my 17yr old DD..I dont intend on spending her college money on a new dress, but the prices of the used are astronomical these days! We want something not to out dated, but also dont want to spend an arm and leg on one that is 1 yr old...I have yet to post her 1 1/2 yr old dress but believe me I wont be looking for more than $1000 Canadian, even though it has been kept in pristine condition and was only worn maybe 15 times with dress sheilds and a crop top....
Any suggestions on where to look?
