Actually, this is a good or even provocative question for Evangelicals and Fundamentalists. To oppose the Catholic tradition of emphasis on good deeds, Reformationists developed the tradition of undermining behaviour and overemphasizing on pure confessional faith. This tradition has been trasmitted to modern-day Evangelicals and Fundamentalists. By reviewing the important message of James 2:17 (³o ¼Ë ¡B «H ¤ß ­Y ¨S ¦³ ¦æ ¬° ´N ¬O ¦º ªº), the questioner cleverly added a qualification to the "faith" (namely, the faith must be living, menifested by behaviour) in the all-important foundational doctrine of Evangelicals and Fundamentalists: "Justification by faith alone." This doctrine was initially designed to combat Catholic's emphasis on behavoiur, now the added qualification of the "faith" has largely removed its effectiveness.
