Yes, that's why Bush won in the rural central.

With「美國文化」, I can only recall extreme capitalization resulting in marketization of all realms including arts and education, and the dehumanizing quantitation of everything. Globalization is actually global Americanization---reckless exportation of shallow profit-centered dehumanizing culture to the whole world!

Tertiary education in Hong Kong? They (the education authorities) view it as a technical training for satisfying the employers rather than a humanistic inculcation aiming for self-actualization of the students! 人文精神的關懷? They will ask: How much is it? How can it increase the competitiveness of HK?!! :(
