The overemphaize on 'innerrant' of the Bible by Fudies have a lot of negative effect on Christiantiy.
1. On scriptures that told stories of God commanding His people to kill all, inclduing women, children and animals....
The cruelty of war was explained away as 'will of God' by the Fundies.
Who want to worship a cruel war lord?
2. On scriptures that are sexists, like calling women unclean after giving birth, and more unclean if she gave birth to a daughter.
The sexism was explained away as the way as the 'will of God' instead of seeing it as it is, cultural sexism at the time.
Who want to worship a sexist god?
These are just a few off-hand examples.
My God is not a warload or sexist, and find it offensive that Fundies present the Christian God this way.
