Community Church Hong Kong Mission and Vision Statement

We are a community of Christ��s followers,

awed and humbled by God��s

costly forgiveness and abundant love for us.

We are an inclusive congregation,

welcoming all people and striving toward

authentic, accountable relationships

with God and one another.

We are united in our diversity by the grace of God,

and we value the variety of Christian traditions

that bear witness to Jesus Christ as Lord.

We live our faith daily,

strengthening our journey with Christ

through the disciplines of

worship, prayer, study, giving, and fellowship.

We embody the love of Christ

as we respond to the needs of God��s people

with compassion, prayer, and resources.

We aim to share the good

news of the Holy Scriptures and to

equip others to honor God, follow Jesus Christ,

and seek the power of the Holy Spirit.

In the Mission and Vision Statement, care seems to have taken to avoid some fundamentalistic concepts such as the inerrancy of the Bible. Welcoming terms such as "inclusive" and "diversity" have also been employed.

We may give them a chance to further elaborate what do they mean by "hell"...it can mean a parable to describe the unpleasant state due to the broken relationship with God/One/Ultimate.
