The firey copper colt walks in, craning his head around to look for Brush Fire. Focusing his sharp yellow eyes in front of him once more, he looks for the dragon prince, Tarquin. He wanted to introduce him to someone.

She attatched herself to Jesar's side, for once pushing aside her pride for the sake of fear. Mouth latched shut for once in the youngsters life, she concentrated on remembering to breathe lest she explode...or worse.

Catching sight of the coppery stallion first, he was quick to leave his unwanted companions to greet this more desirable one. His acute dragon senses must have been dormant, though, for he saw Brush Fire only when he came to be a quarter of the mile away from the pair. The bronze dragon hesitated briefly, his gaze swinging from Jesar to Brush Fire and to Jesar again as he considered the situation. At last, though, he seemed to shrug it off.

"Hello, Jesar." Reaching the equines, the dragon could smell the female's fear and that... distressed him. Carefully he sheathed his claws and attempted to cover as much of his fangs as he could. Thankfully he had not the horns and spikes and barbs that others possessed.

He almost doesn't hear Tarquin's greeting, as Brushy has distracted him. It was unusual for her to be so openly afraid, but she seemed to be open about everything else. He slung a wing over her body and nudged her neck tenderly and comfortingly before answering the dragon. "Hello Tarquin, this is Brush Fire, my girlfriend," He said proudly, standing by her protectively.
[> Subject: She peered up at the Tarquin, and our passionate young mare's mood changed abruptly once more.

Perhaps it was Jesar's comforting touch, or possibly the fact that, now face to face with such a powerful animal, Brushy realized that fear would be no use to her. Whatever the reason, her bright eyes met the dragons and sizzled with curiosity. The connection between the two males was not apparent to her; she could see no similarities aside from the wings that both carried. "Hallo Tarquin," she greeted cheerfully. "This place is..." she struggled for a word to accurately describe her currant feelings, "intoxicating."

He had about as much curiousity as she, tilting his head to one side with a friendly smile. "You mean gloomy and depressing. If you say otherwise the residents might just take offense - sometimes I think that some of us even take pride in our morbid surroundings." Tarquin tightly folded his wings along the length of his back. The protectiveness Jesar felt for his "girlfriend" was obvious, and obviously meant to be obvious. The bronze prince might have smiled; except he wished not to offend his guests. On the other hand, he had no qualms about insulting himself and his peer-dragons.

He laughed a bit at Tarquin's words, knowing how true they were. "True, if you said the place was lovely they'd get more mad than if you said it was a stygian hell hole," He said, shrugging. He re-folded his wings, sensing Brushy was feeling a bit better. He mentally thanked Tarquin for being very nice. He looked around a little for Isis, not really expecting to see her.
[> Subject: "Ebby was the same way," she related, forgetting once more that, of course, neither of them could possibly know who she was refering to.

"Before my territory was taken over by Impulse and Desire, it was just as 'gloomy and depressing' as this place. That was back when darks were afraid to be anything but truely dark." She pondered her words for as long as was necesary to turn them over briefly in her simple mind. Deciding that she spoke the truth, she continued her story. "Anyway, Ebby was the worst about it. I don't think she smiled more than once a week." The charcoal mare swished her tail absently. The unenjoyed life was not much of a life in her opinion.

Had it been anyone else going on and on about something he didn't know about he would've taken this moment to make a snide or chiding remark. But, since it was Brushy, he listened intently, quietly asking, "Who is Ebby?"

He, too, was interested in who this "Ebby" was. Concealing a smile, the dragon awaited Brush Fire's answer. It was interesting how different dragons were from horses and visa versa - made it almost worthwhile to visit them. He examined the possibility of such a suggestion. Probably not, he decided, he had too much to do right here.
[> Subject: "My sister," she replied, shocked.

In her sheltered world, there had been few horses unknown to her. Upon this introduction to the rest of Cascade Mountians, she had a bit of trouble seeing things on a larger scale.

The coppery colt shakes his head. "Brushy, you need to get out more," He says, chuckling. He shrugs slightly at Tarquin.

Adoring eyes glittered up at the winged male, a violent surge of love making her nearly choke on emotion. She had it bad.

Suddenly the dragon was uncomfortable, his eyes shifting quickly away from the love-struck pair and his tail twitching in agitation. Love - the kind that the two equines were infected by - was something he had never wished to consider in the past, and now it was something of an oddity to be near a couple who were positively radiating their love for each other. Yes, he felt love for his family and friends, but that was different. He cleared his throat. "Well then," he started, uncertain of what to say. Haltingly he continued. "Have you shown Brush Fire around, Jesar? It isn't much, of course, but it's here..." Obviously he should just leave them alone, but he doesn't know that, does he?-that idiotic dragon.

She jumped at the chance to spend more time in this place, equally appealing, doubtlessly, was the chance to further seduce Jesar. "Not yet," she answered the dragon, glaring flirtaciously at her 'boyfriend'. "Jesar is a terrible tour guide."

He grinned back at her, his yellow eyes glittering mischeviously in the dim light. He dances around on powerful haunches, tossing his head indignantly. "I am not!" He snorts, dismayed, in a low voice. He nips her shoulder lightly.

He watches her sidestep away, and covers his injured feelings, however rediculous they are, with disdain. He turns his tail to the mare and dragon, folding his wings abruptly.

He turns around again, he couldn't really be mad at her for long. He looked from Tarquin to Brushy. Bouncing forward, he nips her neck affectionatly then turns towards the tt. "Look, that's Voice's - Isis' - lair, and that purple dragon is Bob. Good enough?"
[> Subject: She was pleased with her small victory.

Tarquin acutely noticed Jesar's pout with a mental wince. "You see, Brush Fire, Jesar could show you Isis' lair, the Underworld, the light side, or even Everdark. Or, he could introduce you to other dragons."
[> Subject: She suspended her gentle torture of Jesar for the sake of genuine interest.
