  • This Band group does'nt belong to my class. Me, your uncles Ben & Ruben Dauz from Becques graduated in 1962. This group might had been taken in 1964. Your uncle Gerry graduated at TPHS in 1963. But I can recognize some. The Batoon Leader was the late Rodolfo Agas at the last row; Cristobal Quines @ 1st row & 5th from left; Dr Francis Ong @1st row & 5th from left; Then of course their teachers, the Late Maestro Minong Lardizabal & Mr. Bocquing.   • The two teachers are Mr. Minong Lardizabal and Mr. Santiago Bocquing. Pepito Galang, Fred Las Marias and I played in the SAS band too. Mr. Bocquing was the PMT Corps Cdr at the time. Photos such as this do juggle the memory. It's all coming back to me now. My youth saw groups of men and women, the likes of which included Mayor Badong Valdez, Tang Pik Mina, Tang Imong & Nang Felicing Valencia, Dr. Galvez & Nang Merced, Mayor Jose Bunoan, Atty. Samson Valdez & Nang Elsie, Dr. Arce Villanueva, Tang Tunis Lorenzana, Hon. Moises Encarnacion, Apo Pablo Lamorena, Mr. Tuya Ong, Tang Tancio Batac, Mr. Anselmo Valdez, Maestro Onar Paredes, Mr. Vicente Las Marias, Maestro Pedring Lazaga, Dr. Quinez, Maestro Doming Lardizabal, Judge Mena Lardizabal, Ms. Adoracion Sarmiento, Mr. Honesto Lorente... and many more too numerous to mention... great Tagudinians all.   I am sorry that I have to disapprove some of the messages lately because of the nature of their contents.
  
  It is now getting harder for me to moderate this board but you could help me make this board as clean and orderly as possible if you would abide by the rules when posting. This is also to make this board more useful and enjoyable for all of us.
  
  1.) Please use your own name when posting. Don't use other people's name. You don't have anything to hide here. We are one big family. Aliases are permitted only if the contents of your messages are acceptable to all the readers or if they meant to facilitate good discussions but I would still prefer you to use your real name so we know who you are and where the posts are coming from.
  
  2.) Absolutely no offensive messages or messages with double meanings that are meant to offend. Be careful and think on what you are going to post for it might be ok to you but might be interpreted by others as offensive. If you have a grudge against anybody please settle it outside this board.

  Before we all get too busy with the Seasonal celebrations and activities... Hello Everyone!

  
  
  November's last gasp has come with a slightly nervous breeze blowing across the Gulf of Mexico. "Thank God it's not another hurricane," that's what I hear the locals saying. Here, in the sunshiny state of Florida, the self-ordained "Oracles of the Airwaves" incessantly spew out optimistic pronouncements, "The hurricane season is over," complete with the subliminal and unspoken message of "now go shopping," at the trailing end of each broadcast. With that forthcoming message of hope the Malls explode with frenzied shoppers.
  
  People from all walks of life come out of the woodwork some looking like they have just awakened from extended hibernation. Those able to walk and even those requiring the assistance of mechanical transporters replete with strange looking contraptions crowd the mega bazaars and neatly decorated little boutiques. Shoppers claw and sift hungrily at heaps and stacks of merchandize (undoubtedly manufactured in Sri-Lanka or thereabouts) looking for that bargain price tag or that elusive 50% off red tag discount label. To be sure, there will be a tidal wave of gift giving before too long and the hectic schedules that go with it.
  
  We stand on the threshold of yet another Christmas. We are in the cusp of the merriest time of the year. Setting aside for a moment all important social activities, obligations and other mundane machinations, may I suggest that we take time to reflect on the meaning of the season. We can begin by looking at how attentive, or how neglectful we have been to the needs of others, for example, to the needs of the members of our own families - our spouse, children, parents, grandparents, relatives. How could we have done a better job at showing them we care? We take example from the "Reason for the Season," our Lord who is born this day for us, so we can live abundantly and so that our joy may be full.
  
  In wishing you, all my Ka-ka-ilians, fellow Tagudinians the world over - a happy and blessed Christmas, may your families, hearts and homes be filled with Christmas peace and joy, joy that lasts and peace as only our Lord can give!
