  Has anyone ever defered going to grad school for a year or two becuase they didn't get into a nearby program (though they may of gotten into a far away one), and if so how did that work out?

  I am doing the grad school application process thing, and since I didn't deal with this went I went to college I thought I'd ask all of you. When you applied to/ decided to attend a particular college, how much did staying with your dance school weight in the decision making process? Did you only apply to near by colleges? Change schools? Has anyone stayed with their dance school but gone to a far way college, by either making an araingement with another teacher, "commuting", or via video from your teacher? And how did that work out? Also, if there are any grad students on the board, how did you balance dance, work and grad school?

  • In the beginning I wanted to get outta Vegas ASAP, but when it really came time to decide where to go dance was a huge factor. I wasn't going to find a great teacher like my one in Vegas anywhere else. I also got scholarship money for UNLV, so that was even more of a reason to stay and I'm mighty glad that I did. -- Nicole, 17:25:50 03/06/01 Tue
