We've talked about the nicest Christmas, how about the worst. We woke up the day before the big day and my husband couldn't even get to work. We lived in the country but on a main highway. We had a lot of gifts layed away at a hardware store in town. So George and our youngest girl got dressed up and were going to walk to town. Along came the local funeral director and they got to ride in his big black car to town. A few men made it to the birdseed mill so George called them and they met him at the hardware store, loaded the gifts and it was a slow drive home. I guess it wasn't the worst day after all.
