Great story, Marie!

I wouldn't call this a real 'bad' Christmas, just the most uncomfortable...one year when our kids were very young we ran out of fuel oil during the night on Christmas Eve and of course the furnace went out. It was really cold that night so when the four kids got up and ready to go see what Santa brought them they hardly noticed the steam coming out of their mouths!! BRRRRRRR! We all sat around the tree opening our gifts while wearing our heaviest coats, scarves and gloves! Our oil man, Charlie Rumsey, did make a special delivery by about 10 o'clock but he used some 'interesting' language because he had to come out on Christmas morning! We had to put our hands over the kids ears so they didn't hear the 'grown-up words!!
