I remember that store on the NW corner of First and Robinson, and I'm almost sure that it was run by the Brooks family, parents of Selig (NFA Class of 1950)...back in the 1940's, that is. They had a great penny sports card machine that dispensed postcard-sized photos of semi-obscure Major Leaguers from out-of-(NY)town teams, such as Dave Philley, Hank Majeski and Luke Appling. I had a fistful of 'em, but that was long ago. But that was NOT the Salada Tea Store. That was down at Carpenter, Lutheran or City Terrace, I think...right in the heart of Vinegar Hill.
