 Down through the years I have been a fan of NFA Basketball. I recall seeing the late Jay Hodges and Dick Tyler from the late 40's and 1950. Then it was the fantastic Mickey Burkoski from the mid-50's. In the late 50's along came Leroy Riley and Jack Coonan. Then it was a terrific team in the early 70's with George Bucci , Larry Frazier, and Wade Pitman; that team played in a national tournament at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, which I was fortunate to attend.

All of these great players, and I hope someone will list other players from their era's, could not win the NY State Boy's High School Basketball Championship. That is until Saturday night in Glens Falls that Newburgh beat Niagara Falls High.
