過去六年此大賽只由三位練馬師(蘇萊(Saeed Bin Suroor),岳伯仁及岳斯),兩位騎師(靳能及戴圖理各贏三屆),三位馬主(高多芬團體,古摩亞牧場及阿加汗)包辦,而他們正是歐洲平地賽馬三大勢力.但今年的盟主必是新騎師,因靳能受傷,由蘇銘倫代替出策愛什麼作衛冕戰,而戴圖理則出戰同日另一場一級賽聖烈治大賽. (NT)Lincoln

贏過一級賽的馬始終可秤高,愛什麼今年所向披靡,連哩半也能贏,換上蘇銘倫無甚影響,正宗人強馬壯,能否衛冕戰成功的最大敵人是場地,他可跑偏慢場地,但優勢必不及乾快地,愛爾蘭最新消息卻稱場地有兩寸雨水. (NT)Lincoln

如到時場地真的偏慢,灰燕子機會並不下於愛什麼.這匹由練馬師母親自行培育的佳駟多次在軟慢地伏擊一級良駒,其中今年的Tattersalls Gold Cup 一級賽(約二零九九米)已跑贏緬甸皇城及愛什麼而奪標.不敢說這馬是國際一級馬王,但相信值國際評分一二六分且是真正哩半馬,但在乾快地有影響,上仗英皇喬治六世錦標便在快地上展步不順,能否取勝關鍵同是場地 (NT)Lincoln

Motivator及Oratorio俱是今年歐洲三歲良駒,雙方各贏對方一次,Motivator 在葉森Derby憑氣量先勝一仗,Oratorio在之後的日蝕大賽籍慢步速及乾快地反勝前駒,所以Motivator幕後今次派出Temple Place造步速,也知道近兩天愛爾蘭下雨才決定出賽,惜戴圖理不及時間等待而改配戴禮.但以馬論馬如臨場跑偏慢地仍以 Motivator 高一線.Oratorio上仗雖贏但用力多,所以休息兩個月來準備今仗.岳伯仁向在此賽全力出擊,而此馬亦是馬房三路興兵最好的一隻,所以仍須重視.歷山金駒今季再添兩場一級賽頭馬,但俱只與雌馬同場,實力不會比去年馬后占卜高 (NT)Lincoln

與以上一級賽頭馬比較,其餘參賽馬已較次.秘密皇牌演出準繩,今季未失前五名,但在一級賽只是坐三望二,亦擔心季初至今連場硬拼,未知仍可否保持.挪威舞者跑二十七場只贏四次,也從未贏一級賽,但如對手失準可跑入冷位. (NT)Lincoln

勝負取決場地,如跑偏慢地以主場之利的灰燕子呼聲最高,不擅乾快地的馬應把握機會盡拼.Motivator騎者今季手風平平,宜作次選.但如跑乾快地愛什麼已坐二望一,亦必須加入Oratorio. (NT)Lincoln
