Tip: Homemade Facial Masks
You can give yourself home facials right in your kitchen. Facial masks can be made from carrots, apples, strawberries, bananas, peaches, oatmeal, whole wheat flour, clay and clean kitty litter. For oily skin, try a simple facial mask of plain milk of magnesia. Rub it on, let dry then rinse with lukewarm water. Facial masks for normal/combo skin can be made from one egg, 1/2 cup cooked oatmeal and 1 tsp olive oil. Leave on 15 min. then rinse. For dry skin facials, mix one egg yolk, one tsp honey, 1 tsp olive oil and some vitamin E oil if you have it. Leave on for 15 min, rinse in lukewarm water and pat dry. If your skin is a bit dry, dab on a little olive oil.
