Subject: Uk Amateur Calls before WWII

You say in the history section of
<a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://www.geocities.com/rf-man/ukcalls.html">http://www.geocities.com/rf-man/ukcalls.html</a>
"History
Calls issued in sequence. It became possible
to wait for your choice to be issued "

Are you sure about this in the pre-WWII series?

Very many of the Gnaa calls are related to the
holders name in some way - initials, first and
last letters of surname etc. It seems fairly
obvious that these were issued by request rather
than in sequence.

vy 73 and many thanks for an excellent page.

Andy, M1EBV
