No I agree with the earlier post - back when ham radio started self education and improvement was very much the thing and access to the spectrum probably would not have been granted if it was not for this. Look how long before CB became legal. Would they give us such access if the decision was made today? I doubt it - they would be auctioning the spectrum wouldn't they...
