but actually my statement that a finger is a finger is a finger doesn't have anything to do with my sexual preference. I was actually speaking heterosexually. I had a lot of resistance to my male partner during the course and I just decided "Fuck-it. This is my experience and I can let a little resistance get in the way now, but how will I feel tomorrow?" I took back my power to make the decision for myself and not to let someone elses attributes (physical or emotional) get in the way of my experience. That experience turned out to be the best Do-date I have had so far. What if I would have let my not being physically attracted to this person (re: pretty darn turned off to him) change the direction of my life? **Thank god, I had strapped on some pretty big mental balls that day (once again no pun intended).
