I was suppose to have a DO date with my friend yesterday morning. It didn't happen. Resistance, miscommunication, charge, anger, etc.... whatever the reason, it just didn't happen. Later, my other friend told me that she asked him for a date and it was their best yet. She got off well, he said and they had a good time.

I felt this sense of relief. Relief that she had had the date and perhaps that itch got scratched. I realized later that in the past, my first reaction would of been jealousy. Or a sense of loss. Or anger at either of them.

And then I realized I felt closer to him because of it. And for that, I was grateful.
