Restitution.

click, click, click
the roller coaster of truth
creeps upward.
Like a rubber band stretched to it's limit.
My body contracts
to hold onto what it knows
fears, faces, masks, games.
Designed to protect
the sadistic ego.
My mind screams to be free
to go back to sleep.
As my body begins to pulsate
my heart begins to crack open.
As I breath I imagine
an audible snap
as it frees from it�s cage.
Waves of energy
roll over my body.
Like a layer of healing
bigger than I am.
I can feel them
rolling from toe to head
and then back again.
As if the Earth were tipping
back & forth.
Soothing me.
Cradling me.
Comforting me.
Higher and higher
until the voices are silenced
in the world
and in my head.
Pressure of your hand brings me back to Earth.
Where I can live to love another day.
