Sounds like a hoot. Am currently limiting interactions and being aloof yet polite with any contact i do have to have with them. I have been analyzing the situation with them for awhile now. Mother daughter team. They seem to need to build themselves into matriarchs in there own minds. It hasnt been bad until recently. Im finaly learning to be happy and it shows. That drives them crazy. They go back and forth between belittling me and trying to plan my wedding. They've fixated on me as there pesant. Taking a step back is effectively causing their delusion to implode. Am so incorporating that into my strategy though. They'll be so confused they wont know their heads from their asses. And no worries. I may get homicidaly annoyed but between venting, very violent video games, and fantasizing I keep it under thumb fairly well. Even though chucking them in the dumpster/compactor and throwing the switch gives me giggles, self-control will win out. Im finding my own happiness and wont let anything get in the way, not even me. :} And can you guess who taught me to pursue happiness and hold on to it like a pitbull? ;}
