Go independent Darkling. Then you won't need their tax returns... only yours. As a result, you will be eligible for grants such as Pell, Seog and a few others that do not have to be paid back. I am guessing that as an independent, you will get at least 50% (if not more) of your tuition cost paid for; what isn't covered can be taken care of with a college loan. Maybe you already know this... but I'd thought I'd tell you anyway, Good luck!
