She was a good three feet from where she had started. From sidewalk to street in half a second. One very deep breath later, she looked down. Her heart fluttered and reality fuzzed over for a moment. No blood, no bones broken and protruding, and no missing limbs greeted her eyes. Her faithfull stead, however, had not fared so well. On shakey legs, Abby dismounted her bike. At the same moment she heard the car's door open. "Holy shit! Did I just hit you?! Oh my God I'm so sorry! I'll pay for your bike!" The other woman's voice sounded close to hysterics. "I'm alright, its ok. I just need to use a phone. If I'm late for work and don't call they'll can me." Abby kinda liked the calm, dreamy quality her voice had taken on. If she could just use a phone to call Feo's, then everything else would work itself out.
