Subject: Stuff

I have had some very tough days / moments of the last couple of weeks. several times I have been to my bad place where doing suicide looks so inviting. There have been nights that I have irrational fear that the boogie man was coming to get me and I could not fall to sleep for a long time. I have had some good days too. Today is one of them. I have replaced my stolen bike with a better grade of bike by the same company. I have great respect for some material things, especially well built things. This morning, I had to have one more adjustment made to my new bike. Dismay, was starting to sink in. When I got home from the lake park and its bike trail & the bike shop, I rode about 7 miles out on a local bike trail that runs along a major thoroughfare. The weather is cool sunny morning / day… the wind was at my back on the way home… stop at the best bakery in the universe for some apple & nut chocolate cake squares… My new bike ate up the wind in my face… the hills and over passes were a piece of cake… I did a total of about 25 miles today. I have a pelvis with three fractures still healing… healing quite nicely too. .. I am happy in the moment.. I accept that this moment will pass too because I now know another happy moment is coming again… that is it… nice to be happy… err—nice to be able to be happy… so cool. Oh, also, it is nice to have the gumption to not let my wreck of a body hold be back… blessed am I.

RICHARD
