I know what you mean exactly...like you I try, and then it just makes me look more like an idiot...but my friends and husband...have pointed out to me more than once..that I am the only one that feels that way about the situation...and that when I "screw up"...they say I make them feel like I want to be left alone...so they do!??? So like Dave says, it is part of the illness..the lack of self respect and self loathing....especially when we feel we don't or can't "do" as well as others...

For times like that...I really try the "mantra"...one day at a time, breathe, let it go....
