Subject: People!

It has been both a tough and happy past few days. I have put out some $$$$ for prescription drugs. Medicare Drug Prescription has upped the cost of co-pay muchly. During the second trip to the pharmacy today I was picking up a prescription refill that I had called in hours earlier. Two pharmacists were busy looking for the same item to fill a prescription. The guy pharmacist walked by me and looked at me on crutches, said hi, and went on looking. Finally he comes towards me and asks, “Are you picking up?” I say yes, while thinking to myself, “Dummy, why to think that I am standing at the pick up window.” He goes to his work desk and says, I am just working on it. Then a couple of other customers come to the next window over. The gal pharmacist services them. She has to find their prescription. He stops with my order and goes over to her and starts going through big pile of prescriptions stopping intermediately to talk to her. I go over near where she, he, and the new customers are, break in and announce calmly, that I have a fractured pelvis and is hard standing on one leg. He gives me the ‘look’… like, don’t rush me, I am the holy pharmacist. What I said sinks in and he turns and goes back to work on my prescription. He apologizes for the weight. Thank goodness for all the conscious kind folks

My son is sick with a bad virus. He bought over (long drive) some big bags of cat food and kitty litter. He apologized for taking the pain pills and would like to talk about it when he is feeling better. He said he left a message for our therapist. I did not mention that we need to talk about the two thousand miles he put on my car’s odometer when he stole it. He called me from the pet supply store to ask what type of kitty litter I wanted. I said two of the cheap kind, any brand would do. He brings an expensive big bag of litter that clumps the cat pee into hard balls. He could not get what I wanted; he had to get something that improves on what I get as if I do not know what I am doing. I do not use that clumping stuff for a couple of reasons. So later, I went out to pick up my prescription, get my kind of kitty litter, and of course pick up some other stuff too… can’t just go in and get only want I intended too. Caring up two 25 pounds bags of kitty litter and the other stuff… four trips all together… it might not have not been the brightest thing that I have ever done, considering my fractured pelvis. But, now I know my old cats, who are set in their ways, won’t snub that new fine grain litter and piss & dump in my shoes and they won’t get any nasty clumping chemical agents on and in their privates.

I went to a car wash and paid $12.50 to have full service wash, which got the interior cleaned. They did not do a good as job as if I had done it. But it is done and now there is less to remind me that I have been violated by my son stealing my car, putting over 2000 miles on the odometer, and getting the inside so dirty by driving my car with the windows down.

I drove by the gas station that I most often get gas at because they seem to have the cheapest gas price most of the time: $1.97 indeed as Mikki said. I said to myself that I will drop in after infusion and fill up… yes… indeedy… went up to $2.16 in a matter of hours… jeez <img src="http://www.richarddw.net/faces/s-frownface.gif" align="absmiddle">!

My hands are painfully numb. Typing is a bear.

Thanks for reading all of this. If I had a few wishes for anything I wanted, one of them would be for all of you. I wonder what I could wish for that would not have any repercussions?

RICHARD
