I didn't know you went to Catholic school.....I don't know why that surprised me....maybe it is because you are much more spiritual than Catholicism allows. Mike said that as a joke....he worries about me because when I start leaning hard on the church, I am getting sick again. He's seen it before, and his comment was in jest.

While I like the ceremonialness of the Catholic church, spiritually, it doesn't answer alot of my questions about Jesus and God and how we all fit in this picture. I've tried to talk to my priest about it, I asked him point blank what can I read when I can't feel God, and all he said was "God is always with you...you don't have to read, you have to believe". Well, in the throes of major depression, you can't feel shit. God could be standing right in my face and I wouldn't know it. I couldn't feel it. People can pray over me and I can't feel it. I appreciate their gesture, but the only time I do feel God's presence is during Communion. So I stay at the Catholic church full of questions.

That is why that show just struck me.....here was my opportunity to get a question answered. And it was answered. The baptist pastor was the only one who said that "God's presence is everywhere, you can read the scriptures but that doesn't change the fact that he is already here". In a way that helped too.

Maybe I need to find a more bible based church. I've had lots of bad experiences in doing that, so I went what was safe and what my family attends. Oh well, something more to ponder on.

Thanks for your post,

Love, Mikki
