Subject: Hi Mikki... my bike was stolen
In reply to: Mikki 's message, "Hello?? Roll call" on 11:22:55 03/31/07 Sat

My bike... like it is a personal thing; not just $600, which is of course not only a 'just' thing... lota money! It is the hours of cleaning, adjusting, not riding on wet pavement due to the road grime...etc... makes it personal. In board daylight, in a busy small parking lot, they cut halfway through the thick plastic covered cable, cut the bottom straps of the trunk mounted bike rack (why??), but then got to the lock, which I never found. I pray for the thieves... like... "Please God; let a bus run them over."

I took out a small loan, getting a bit better same brand bike next week. I did not get my head crack (if I had walked up on them), they did not try prying the trunk lid up to get the staps' hook off and so on... My son was a the same building (therapy) and left moments before the theft... he did not get hurt... and so on. Crap happens... but it still sucks... crazy freakin world... probably sold the bike for a $12 envelop of heroin.

It is a good thing we have each other… although, wishing it were so a bit more often...

RICHARD
